If you wrote a good article and submit it to the editor for review, sometimes they will ask you to reduce the word count. Below are some easy tips to reduce word count by maintaining the quality of the content which can make the editor happy.
Reduce the introduction – few writers will write an introduction to make the article more attractive to the readers. But here you have to go back to introduction while doing the editing process. This is applicable for back story and related things in your writing. You can see that your writing stands as well as its own.
Cut the modifiers and other similar words – modifiers are the adjectives or adverbs which describe later elements in the sentence. As there is place for the modifiers, there is no need of adding more descriptive words. It will cover only ideas which are expressed poorly. Other than mentioning the matter prepared by you is friendly, try to make it more informative which can clarify all doubts of audience. Also mention the reason for thinking in that way.
Rearrange Quotes – Applicable only for writing interview matters. You can use your own words to make it more beautiful but don’t use more. Use only few words to make it attractive.
