If you are a freelancer, you spent a lot time in face of your electronic device screen like computer, tablet, laptop etc. All your work depends upon these devices. Most freelancers do not make backups of their work. The freelancers who make backups forget some important things.
You should make backups to insure your work safety. I am obtainable to tell you seven different gears, for which you must make backup otherwise; you can lose all the work. Please correct me by giving your comment if I am wrong.
These days ever one relies on their mail services. People admit the importance of the newsletters but they do not save these letters from their meals. Email service providers like Gmail or yahoo are quite reliable but you cannot risk your work on anything. Therefore, you should save all the newsletters as backups.
• Contacts in Phone:
Many people do not save or make a backup of their phone contacts. These people can lose the number of their clients if they face cell phone data loss. Therefore, to be on the safe side you should make a separate record for their client phone numbers and save them from losing.
• Email IDs:
You should save all the email contact of your clients. Many freelancers do not save the email ids of their clients. after data loss, they lose all of them. Therefore, you should always note down these contacts in any separate place to save these form loss.
• Important files:
Many freelancers do not take care of the source file of the client and don not make a backup of these files. However, after losing these files there is no other source for them to regain these files your whole project fail just because of this loss. You should purchase an external hard disk to save your important files of work.
• User name and password:
In freelancing, there are many clients. They have different usernames and passwords for their websites. They send their username and passwords through emails. You cannot remember all these. Therefore, you should make proper backups for these username and passwords. You also can save yourself from the problem of losing this pernicious data.
The main important thing is to save all your important documents of your business. You should save all the client contracts, bank documents, the paper details in a folder. If you have scanner facility you should scan all your important documents and put them in an outside hard constrain. By doing this you can easily save yourself from a big problem.
• Contract papers:
Most important things to save are the client contract papers. You should make proper backups of your client’s contract. Make a record of all the clients. This will help you not only during the job also after the completion of the job. After completion of job, you never know the client refuse to pay your payment not any ground. If you have all the records, you can make your client to pay your amount.
