So you landed a job but after a few weeks you discovered that it’s up for a major downfall. Try to determine the financial stability of the company you will soon be working for.
2. The interview method is very long or disorganized.
How you’re being handled for interviews is a good indicator of the company’s ability to make decisions. Think twice before accepting the job when the offer takes many weeks to be given to you. This delay is a reflection of what must be going on within the company.
3. You have a very bad “gut” feeling.
When you’re looking for a job, you should consider the environment or the culture. If everything makes you uncomfortable or you just don’t feel good about it, then maybe that job is not for you.
Try to pay attention to your instincts. Doing this may make you realize that what you felt is genuine and might end up with regret. Pay attention to what the current employees are saying; are those negative or positive comments about work? Observe the movement and other things you can see. If they look unhappy and you can feel the tension in the workplace, then you might want to apply for another job.
4. The money is very less to meet family expenses
We do not only respect our instincts or intuitions but we must also be realistic when we’re job-hunting. The salary, of course, must be able to pay the bills. If the offer is too low, try to figure out other means to make it higher, and try not to think that you it’s not how much you deserve. The economy is in its rough times so you must be practical. If the offer just isn’t enough, say that the amount just can’t support the family. If you are truthful about this, then the company might make for a higher offer.
5. The job is purely against your moral values, principles or lifestyle choices
Yes, you need a job but that doesn’t mean you can just be up for anything. Respect your moral values and beliefs. If the job you are applying for violates all these: our principles, moral values, or lifestyle choices, then don’t push it too hard. Be firm with your principles and do not lose your core values just because there is an urgent need for a job.
