As this is commonly known that there is nothing free in this world you need to pay for every thing, in the same manner if some one has some work for you will get paid for it no matter how much but you will get a reward for that. Before knowing the main question that how much you need to charge for your services keep in mind the nine important points which are stated below.
• Consider about your cost
• The profit you aimed for
• Your demand in the market
• Standards and payment by other competitors
• Your skill level
• Your experience
• Also your strategy of work.
• Your service levels
• And finally that who is your client.
After keeping in mind those important points of pricing then select a mode of payment as you want to get paid hourly or you want to get paid fixed. After selecting the mode come to the main question that how much or how to price a job. We will discuss about this in the following lines.
The first thing in this regard is what is the time required actually to complete the job given to you. Add other factors of job if are applicable like printing, web hosting and so on. When the job comes break it into its components and then estimate the time required to complete each component and your cost applied on each of the component. Then multiply the time with the hour rate if you are getting paid hourly or just estimate the cost of whole project if you are getting paid as a fixed price per project and also divide down into such pieces so that you can make an accurate estimate by time you will get you experience and your estimates will become more accurate.
But keep in mind that the cost is not everything into account. Also make sure that the cost is suitable for the client also. Some of the clients have their own need, risks or their work require a lot of effort. For these sorts of clients make special criteria of payment according to your experience. Sometimes you will also need to take a job you are not willing to do in most of the days so add additional cost for that. On the other hand if the client is a good person and easy to work with then give him advice about reducing the cost or try to reduce the cost for that customer.
