Recently several freelancers send me a lot of messages about problem with Flash player at Firefox Mozilla. They send me support pages link from other websites and told me that they still didn’t find answer.
What is the problem :
“I’ve been seeing this problem lately in Firefox with all flash videos. The screen will be split horizontally with a green bar across the middle, making it hard to see the video. It is not just Youtube – any flash video does this as well.”
“When veiwing videos on news channels (bbc) or on youtube. Most times the video window splits into two. A top window and bottom window divided by a thick green bar even in full screen.Sometimes the sound is garbled (screeches). The problem does not exist in IE and has only been present since downloading Firefox. I like firefox, but would return to IE if this problem can’t be fixed. ”
If you go to MS Explorer and go to youtube and see nice videos, without problem that means you don’t have problem with graphic card – problem is Mozilla and Adobe Flash plugin.
Than Adobe support can help you with this :
“If you see performance or display issues with certain Flash videos (e.g., high CPU usage, system instability, hangs, white or green screen, double image split by horizontal green line, no full-screen video, distortion) turn off hardware acceleration in your Flash Player display settings”
You need to turn off hardware acceleration in your Flash Player display settings !!!
How to do that ? Just on video that has green line click right mouse button, go to Settings and uncheck “hardware acceleration”.
Enjoy in Mozilla, and use your Flash player !
