I had started my blog few years ago and the initial months of starting are very gloomy and sullen for me. Even after strenuous effort by me, I am unable to increase traffic on my blog. In addition, the fact very depressed me that my site is in the Google ‘sandbox’, and to continue, I have to keep plugging to draw it out of the ‘sandbox’ or just abandon the whole idea of blogging. With some fortunate decisions, I continued to keep posting on my blog and also used some simple ideas to drive traffic to my blog. But believe me, to come up with this simple steps, I had done significant amount of research.
The first simple step is, drive traffic from other websites or blog to your incipient blog, which ultimately drives both sites to the top without affecting either one. As in my case, fortunately I have other business website, which has fair traffic and it’s pertinent to my blog. For driving traffic from the business website I had placed some FeedBurners headline animator blocks on my business website pages. And just few days after that, I had realized that my drowning blog really got some true traffic.
The second step is there are multiple sites and blogs available where you can post your comment, and that’s very effective way to make your blog popular by using the popularity of other blog. But, whenever you post comment on other sites make sure that you are setting up appropriate trackback for it. If you are enjoying sharing your ideas then I’m sure that you will not get any other method to drive free traffic to your blog.
And the last and most effective way to increase traffic to your blog is tag your posts keyword. This tagged keyword gets attention very easily and helps readers to find what they are looking for. You can do it either manually or other tools like SimpleTags. This tool is available as plugin in WordPress, which makes your job lot easier than manual method.
Just by using these three simple steps I had increased traffic of my blog from few hundreds to many thousands, and that also within 30 days. It also encouraged me to do my job in better way, which in turn got me some serious readers and loyal traffic. After few days my blog came out of the Google ‘sandbox’.
