I am wanting to have a php class written to enable me to find pingback urls and send ping back requests. The solution will be database related and store information. The structure of the database: 1. To hold keywords and pages relevant content 2. to hold pingback request information 3. Successful pingback requests(check to see if link exists on page). I wish to run the solution on a part cron job, this will enable the solution to find and submit pingback requests and then to monitor if the request has been added. If the request is not added then it will be removed after a certain time period. The details of the link stored will also be stored in the database so that these can be added to the relevant pages automatically(A script is not needed for this we will write this part ourselves). Here is an explaination of trackback for wordpress. http://www.optiniche.com/blog/117/wordpress-trackback-tutorial/ What I would like to do is use the url to find the blog pages http://blogsearch.google.com/blogsearch_feeds?hl=en&q=ecommerce%s&ie=utf-8&num=10%d&output=rss and then check each one to see if it has a trackback, if it has to send a trackback request and then store the details in the database. Once a trackback has been agreed then this will then be stored in the database for future query. It is important that the trackback solution checks to ensure that the link is not a nofollow link and that it is relevant for the search engines for SEO purposes.
