Desktop Application written in MS Access (or MS Excel). I need a very user friendly desktop application that generates a printable product prescription list on letter sized paper. This application can compiled and distributed to clients without them having to purchase Microsoft Access. The application would have a Product Database List of approximately 15 products each with a specific application rate (ie 100 grams per 10,000 litres) for Product “TA”s required application. 1. The user would open the application and have a series of fields in a professional list format to fill out: ie Volume in Litres = V; Factor TA = A; Factor pH = B;Factor TC = C; Factor FC = D; Factor TC = E; Factor CH = F ; Factor M = G. (ideal this is presented nicely like a form). (there may be 5 more fields – that’s it). 2. For each of these factors there is a ideal target range (ie the desired range target for “Factor A” = 110 parts per million. The actual test reveals that the current TA is 10 ppm – therefore the formula would be Vessel Volume * Ideal target range minus actual test result … Example 10,000 litre volume test… actual TA = 10, target range = 110 therefore the calculation for this product prescription is 110-10 (equals 100 TIMES the volume (ie 10,000 litres) = a product addition is calculated of 100 grams * 10000). The answer then needs to be shown in in both grams and kilograms so the answer is divided by 1,000 for kilos. Final Prescription print out will report Please add 100 grams or .100 kilograms of Product TA. 3. There needs easily customizable product name database of approximately 15 products (each with ideal range and a related application rate calculating formula for calculating the required addition for that product.) Ideally the application rate formulas are easily customizable by myself (only) as is the changing the actual name of the product (by me, not the users) – if we need to modify the product name. 4. The final step is the ending “product addition prescription list” must be easily printable is a presentable letter sized document. I’d want the ability to easily insert our logo and company contact details on the final printout. Basically this is a linear list of the Product Names which have the required product addition beside them: ie Add X grams or X kilos of Product TA 5. I’m not sure if this should be a MS Excell Application or MS Access – I’d want to have some tigh security so the formulas and product names database is hidden and not changeable by the end users. 6. I don’t want customers to have to purchase MS ACCESS to use this application. Make sense? Basically this app is a very basic prescription generator for about 15 products – each with a very simple prescription formula for each product based on the volume of the vessel – plus a friendly user input for inserting the existing test results – ending in a well laid out printout of the recommended product prescriptions. Successful candidates will be able to show me some portfolio examples that indicates competency in designing something like this in MS Access or Excel. Thanks.
