It is celebrating the Microsoft Professional Developers Conference , and as promised Steve Ballmer a few weeks ago, the company has announced its Windows platform of web services.
The name has been chosen Windows Azure , and represents a major change for Microsoft , as also for developers that will turn on this platform to develop .
The company has released a Community Technology Preview of some developers at the PDC 2008, so that they can play with it and plan for future developments.
The components behind the service platform Azure , would be:
- Windows Azure
- Microsoft SQL
- Microsoft. NET
- Microsoft Live
- Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Dynamics CRM
Microsoft said to have been creating new data centers, to provide a reliable service to its customers (hopefully there are no blue screens here).
Surely we can try Windows Azure ‘to’ and the platform that supports it within a few months … so there will just give an opinion more “objective” (at the moment, it sounds a bit in the air …).
